Copa Flags
ColorsCopaThe 64 player Boys´ Draw is headed by Sora FUKUDA of Japan, ranked no. 53, and no. 2 seed Serbian Miomir KECMANOVIC ranked 62. As the first junior tournament of the year the Copa in 2015 is the guinea pig for the ITF´s new rule eliminating the previous day sign in. This means that Lucky Losers must be on standby all day in case a Main Draw player does not appear. A match to watch, as indicated by player ranking, is the matchup between no. 248 and 13th seeded Louis TESSA of France against unseeded no. 287 William TUTECKY of Canada who just missed being seeded.

The Girls´ Draw is led by Sofia KENIN of USA, ranked no. 17 and fresh from an impressive win at the Orange Bowl in Miami last month. No. 2 seed is Usue ARCONADA, also of USA who visits the Copa del Café for the fourth time. The 64 player Draw looks safe for seeded players, judging from player rankings, but tennis is often a game of surprises. Day 1 play will tell.   Stadium play features local players throughout the day, both Boys and Girls.
